Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born on March 4, 1954, is a Canadian-American actress. O'Hara has been awarded numerous prizes which include an award from the Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also was awarded two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honored with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress when she was a member the The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also in her main ensemble in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara began working alongside Candy in Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara was acknowledged for her stand-up comedy and writing abilities, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert. Also included were Dwayne Colbert (Steve Carell), Tina Fey and Keegan Michael Key, as well as Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows. Suzy Nakamura. Sam Richardson. Jeff Richmond. Jason Sudeikis. Additionally, she is a cohost of Outnumbered! and frequently appears on Gutfeld! Compagno was a daughter of Katherine Bertsch (nee Bertsch), and John Compagno. Her father is Italian. There are two sisters. William Harry Bertsch is her great-grandfather. He earned the Silver Star during World War I. The "Rose" Emily's surname honors Bertsch and his wife. She earned her bachelor's degree. The University of Washington awarded her the Cadet of the Quarter Award for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps political science. She received an J.D. Emily lives in New York City. She is extremely active in nonprofits dedicated to US veterans, K9 officers, law enforcement & Native American causes
