Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born on March 4, 1954, is a Canadian-American actress. O'Hara has been awarded numerous prizes which include an award from the Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also was awarded two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honored with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress when she was a member the The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also in her main ensemble in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara began working alongside Candy in Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara was acknowledged for her stand-up comedy and writing abilities, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert.
